Follow every named area and progression checkpoint in the order supplied for Version 1.22.

Ordered campaign and completion route

Use the stages in order for a first playthrough. The Factory can be completed before Sundown Castle as a sequence break, but the supplied walkthrough recommends the order below.

  1. 1. Steel TownLearn the first objective, explore Steel Town and Balana Dump, and locate Landfill.
  2. 2. LandfillAcquire the Eggtart Shield and Bomb Bag, then clear the bomb-gated routes and chests.
  3. 3. Library and Temple of MemoriesFollow the Library lead and trigger the Temple of Memories story sequence.
  4. 4. Moblin MountainClimb Moblin Mountain, explore the Mining Facility, activate bonfires, and reach Moblin Mine.
  5. 5. Moblin MineObtain the Hookshot, solve the Blue Bubble torch puzzle, recover the Small Keys, and backtrack with the new tool.
  6. 6. Sundown CastleAcquire the Longshot and Boomerang, defeat Wart, and complete the first major dungeon.
  7. 7. Hyrule Field and the Fun BarrelExplore the newly open field and complete the available midgame activities.
  8. 8. Ingo's Son — Iron Shackle and Epona's SongComplete the Ingo and Ingo's son storyline so later desert progression is available.
  9. 9. Train Station — Hover BootsExplore the Train Station and obtain the Hover Boots.
  10. 10. Mushroom SwampCross Mushroom Swamp, Swamphell, Lost Woods, and Forest Valley to reach the Factory.

  12. 12. The AbyssNavigate the Version 1.22 layout, defeat Dark Link, and gain the illusion/Lens progression.
  13. 13. Midgame CleanupComplete useful optional activities before entering the desert.
  14. 14. Border DesertBegin the ordered desert route and explore each connecting region carefully.
  15. 15. Desert Fortress — EponaRecover Epona and escape the fortress.
  16. 16. Border Village and Gerudo AreaContinue through the border settlements, Gerudo areas, fortress, and caves to reach Ganon's Tomb.
  17. 17. Ganon's TombAcquire both elemental arrows, defeat Phantom Ganon, and complete the fourth major dungeon.
