Four slots with different jobs

Team Building

Build around the character you want to pilot, then fill the three assist directions with coverage that solves concrete problems.

The four slot jobs

SlotCallJobSelection question
PointActive leaderYour practiced neutral, defense, and confirm characterCan I survive a full round while using this character intentionally?
ShooterNeutral/forward + AssembleRanged coverage that occupies a laneDoes it help my Point approach or keep an opponent out?
VerticalDown + AssembleRising coverage, launch, or anti-airDoes it deter jumps and convert from my common hits?
AssaultBack + AssembleCharacter-specific pressure, movement, setup, or utilityDoes it solve a concrete weakness rather than duplicate another call?

Build in four passes

  1. Lock the Point. Choose the one character whose movement, anti-air, and safe confirm you already understand.
  2. Add coverage. Put a reliable projectile or long active attack in Shooter.
  3. Protect the air. Test each candidate’s Vertical assist against jump-ins at three spacings.
  4. Add a purpose-built Assault. Choose mixup, lockdown, resource support, or movement—not a vague “strong character.”
