Ordered campaign route

Each chapter includes its overworld preparation and one independently named major palace. Complete the route in order so every traversal item and spell is available when the next lock appears.

1. Parapa PalaceNorth Palace · Rauru · Parapa Desert · Parapa PalaceLearn Shield, collect the first Heart Container, recover the Candle, defeat Horsehead, and set the first Crystal.
2. Midoro PalaceTantari Desert · Ruto · Moruge Swamp · Saria · Death Mountain · Mido · Midoro Swamp · Midoro PalaceClear the long Western Hyrule upgrade circuit, learn three spells and Downward Thrust, then defeat Helmethead.
3. Island PalaceKing's Tomb · southern tunnel · Island PalaceReach the isolated palace, obtain the Raft, defeat Rebonack, and finish Western Hyrule's palace route.
4. Maze PalaceNabooru · Maze Island · Darunia · Maze Island PalaceEstablish the Eastern Hyrule route, learn Fire and Reflect, rescue the child, gain Upward Thrust and Boots, then defeat Carock.
5. Ocean PalaceEastern sea · Palace on the SeaWalk the ocean path, collect the third Heart Container, recover the Flute, defeat Gooma, and place the fifth Crystal.
6. Hidden PalaceRiver Devil trail · Hidden Kasuto · Three Eye Rock · Three-Eye Rock PalaceComplete the final overworld upgrades, reveal the Hidden Palace, take the Cross and fifth Link Doll, defeat Barba, and set the sixth Crystal.
7. Great PalaceOld Kasuto · Valley of Death · Great PalaceLearn Thunder, survive the Valley of Death, take the final Link Doll, defeat Thunderbird and Dark Link, and claim the Triforce of Courage.

Master completion checklist

Seven-palace route1. Parapa Palace: Lit caves, a free level-up from the Crystal statue, and access to the western-Hyrule preparation loop.2. Midoro Palace: Block-breaking with the Hammer and Handy Glove, Fairy traversal, Downward Thrust, and the western route to Island Palace.3. Island Palace: The Raft opens Eastern Hyrule; the third Crystal grants a free level-up.4. Maze Palace: Boots permit walking over specified water and lava tiles, while Reflect makes magic users and Carock manageable.5. Ocean Palace: The Flute dismisses the River Devil and reveals the Hidden Palace; the fifth Crystal grants a free level-up.6. Hidden Palace: The Cross reveals invisible Moas; six placed Crystals release the Great Palace barrier.7. Great Palace: The completed Triforce awakens Princess Zelda and ends the campaign.

Route rules that prevent backtracking

Collect every palace's permanent item before placing its Crystal.
Take all four Magic Containers; later Wise Men refuse to teach spells without the required meter size.
Enter Maze Palace with Reflect and the Great Palace with Thunder.
Collect Link Doll #5 and #6 before finishing their palaces.
When an experience threshold appears, cancel only when intentionally saving for a more valuable stat.
