The quest in one breath
First QuestGanon has taken the Triforce of Power. Princess Zelda divides the Triforce of Wisdom into eight fragments before she is imprisoned, and Impa recruits Link to recover them. Clear the first eight dungeons, assemble the Triforce of Wisdom, enter Death Mountain, defeat Ganon, and rescue Zelda.

9 · Death Mountain
Enter the final dungeon with the completed Triforce of Wisdom, find the Silver Arrow, and face Ganon.
